Ya, pretty self explanitory fight.  Just need the awesome dps.  We'll need timers also on the AOE's but once we have that, should be a peace of cake unless folks are dying to AOE's constantly.

Not bad. I'm thinking set up three plate-tank groups, have 1 floating DPS group just like Sages, except w/ 3 plate tanks, instead of 1 brawler. DPS group burns down the 1st named, and swaps to the totem where-ever it is.  Tank group dps'ers need to swap to totem also if its near-by.

Healers need to cure everything as usual.  No curses from what I've seen so straight up healing and group curing.  Heavy DPS and getting the rats down will be the key to making the fight easier, obviously ;P.

Contested / Raid Strat: Klaaktuus [The Sundered Frontier *CONTESTED!*]
« Last post by Gabriel on August 14, 2010, 07:40:03 AM »
Normal Mode
-----------------

Klaaktuus on Normal Mode is a rather simple fight. Survive the successive AOE's just like on the normal mode encounter of Oxydaxius. Klaaktuus does have some similarities to Oxydaxius in that there are three adds that will spawn every 30-45 seconds or so.

However these adds are immune to all AOE attacks. You must kill each add individually. This can be rather hard because of the lag that usually accompanies this encounter. Bring EXTRA dps if you can. The AOE's do not hit for that much at all.

The other part of this fight controls the "Challenge Version". If you want to maintain the normal mode of this encounter then all you need to do is not kill the named erudite that accompanies Klaaktuus. Keep him alive, mezzed preferably and when you get Klaaktuus to 20% the encounter will end. If you kill this NPC you will trigger the Challenge mode.

Keep all massive single target dps assisting one person to kill the adds and you should drop Klaaktuus rather quickly.

Underfoot Depths / Raid Strat: Uthgar, Maakat and Aaskas [Underfoot Depth]

Uthgar, Maakat and Aaskas is a pretty straight forward fight. There are three ratonga to deal with. They can not come close to each other. Pretty much tank them right where they are.

Over the course of the fight each Ratonga has two fairly decent damaging AOE's to contend with. Good healers and cures will negate this.

Every 30 seconds or so you will get a message that a strange force is giving one of the named powers. A totem will have spawned near one of the named. Your groups need to destroy this totem ASAP. It does have a fair amount of HP so again like with most mobs in this zone, your DPS needs to be fairly high.

If you fail to destroy this totem you will beef up the named and more than likely you will raid wipe.

Keep 2 groups on one of the named to burn it down the fastest so you can proceed to the next. Save Uthgar for last as he is down the ramp from the other two Ratonga.

Uthgar has two of the hardest hitting AOE's and also his totem is again right down where he sits. Uthgar will occasionally port the tank to the top of the ramp. He will normally do one AOE, do the PORT and then do another AOE shortly after. This is to catch your healers off guard.

Other than the port distance this fight is pretty predictable.

Underfoot Depths / Raid Strat: Rathgar [Underfoot Depth]
« Last post by Gabriel on August 14, 2010, 07:34:19 AM »
Rathgar is a pure DPS fight plain and simple. Every minute or so he will one shot your tank. Rathgar will gain one adventure level everytime he kills someone. If he reaches level 99 he will one shot every single person he targets.

This means you need atleast two tanks in your raid and rezzing them quickly so they can get back on the mob to get the next one shot will be crucial. The tanks can be the ONLY people in your raid to die.

You need to kill Rathgar in under 4 minutes ideally with NO ONE but your tanks taking the deaths. This means your total raid dps needs to be around 500k dps to achieve this as he does have alot of HP.

But there is more to this fight than just healing through the three Moderate AOE's. He will also spawn one add during the fight every 30 seconds or so. This add needs to die ASAP or it will also do a massive AOE and wipe the raid.

Your dps needs to be sick in order to progress passed this mob. This is no special strategy to this guy.

Underfoot Depths / Raid Strat: Vaclaz [Underfoot Depth]
« Last post by Gabriel on August 14, 2010, 07:27:44 AM »
Vaclaz in Normal mode is a combination of Pentaclypse, Anashti Sul and Field General Uktap.

You will see that Vaclaz has 4 adds that are with him. These adds control which version you get. If any of these adds die you will begin to trigger the Challenege Mode version of Vaclaz.

Vaclaz has three AOE's that are pretty potent so bring your noxious resistance. These AOE's also MUST be cured ASAP because if they begin to stack you will see your raid dropping very quickly.

Every 45 seconds or so one member of your raid will get a blue vision much like Field General Uktap if your guild every did that mob in Ykesha's Inner Stronghold. Whoever has the blue vision is the only person that can target a mob before he casts a raid wiping AOE. You have roughly 10 seconds to find this mob and hit it. All you need to do to prevent the wipe is to hit that mob and bring it back to the raid to be killed. The add can spawn anywhere around the outside of Vaclaz's platform. So be sure to stay as centered as you can as a raid to make the distance easier to travel.

Now, these adds do have a knockback as well so watch where you are standing that you do not get knocked off the platform.

The second thing to watch out for is a warning much like Twins or Anashti Sul in Palace of the Ancient One. You will get a message that You feel a powerful curse...

This is the time to stop doing wtv is you are doing and just sit there. This curse comes two at a time much like the other mobs. Only this time, if you cast you will not wipe raid initially but you will stun everyone next to you for about 10 seconds. That will likely spell doom for your raid because you need to be bunched up for this encounter.

Off tank the adds and be sure not to kill them. Handle the AOE's like champions and do not cast when you are cursed. Bring enough dps with you so the fight does not last too long. If the fight goes too long you risk killing the adds, or getting stacked up on detriments.

Disease Blast - High Damage Disease AOE (40 second timer, no swipe)

Poisonous Wave - High Damage Poison AOE (40 second timer, no swipe)

Toxic Torrent - Moderate Damage Poison AOE (40 second timer, no swipe)

----

Crippling Nausea - Curse Effect - Triggers a AOE stun to those close to the cursed person (DO NOTHING UNTIL IT IS CURED!!)

ok so... similar fight to Syfak tho no mention of 1 shots or anything like that.  Basically looks like cure/heal thru aoe's, no curses mentioned or anything like that, so u just have to keep the adds down and keep the raid alive so the dps stays up and we win sounds like.

Here's a couple of other Nox detrimentals.

Even though they're shown together here, I didn't have them at the same time.
